Our little boy's room is finally coming along! I'm excited to say that we finally decided on some bedding. How many of your husbands have really cared one way or the other?! Well, Nic has definitely had an opinion on the matter! When I bought the nursery set for Hannah, I went with a fairly neutral set with red, orange, blue, green, and yellow. I planned to use to for all our children, girl and boy! But when we found out we were having a boy, Nic said we couldn't use it; we needed something more boy-y! So I decided to go with blues and browns for the little guys room. I found some cute bedding with polka-dots, some with stripes and circles... but Nic didn't like any of them. And I really wasn't willing to spend a whole lot (since we already have a perfectly good set!) Well, I finally found some twin bedding that I thought would work (and I love) and then bought a solid navy blue bumper to go with it. I have to say it was much cheaper this way. I'll have to adapt the fitted sheet to fit the crib. But it will be really nice when our little guy moves up to a "big bed", the room will already be decorated and won't need a new look. (I made some long curtains for the room using a sheet from the set... also a great inexpensive way to get fabric! I still need to make tabs for them to hang on the rod.) As a side note, I have to say that I'm glad Nic cares about things like this sometimes... even if it makes things harder.

We've also been painting! On Saturday Nic painted the room a dark tan (the same as the basement). Then yesterday I measured, taped off, and painted the stripes! Whew. It was a lot of work. But we made a pretty good team. I'm sure grateful for Nic's help! We still have some touch ups to do. I'll post more when its all put together!

I love the stripes you painted on the walls. Very cute! And great idea for the crib bedding!
I love everything, great idea to use the sheets when he gets bigger. It is funny how when we have our first we try to be neutral so we can reuse. I was the same but now everything has to be very pink and girly.
Can't wait to see it!
Super cute. I like the double stripe in the room.
Very cute. And you are not alone, Marc needed to help pick out the girls bedding.
It looks great. Now he needs a big North Carolina embelm on the wall. j/k. When do you want to come and do my rooms? I don't like decorating or painting so if you ever feel the need to be "creative" I have tons of walls! Glad you guys work so well together. That is truly the best thing!
It looks really cute. The stripes are fun. I can't wait to live in a house we can paint!
It looks so good! Man sounds like you have been busy, I know it's so crazy right now getting ready for a new baby. Let me know what I can do to help. We would love to have Hannah come play for a day so you could get things done.
You are so taleneted! Feel free to come decorate my house when you are finished with yours!!!
seesh! You say that you are always so tired but yet you get so much done and have the funnest kid rooms! I love it way to go!
Oh how talented you are. Love that you use lots of color in your house and that you make things yourself. Way to go Natalie.
