Our Cute Little Hannah Bean

A couple fun things about Hannah:

I love being Hannah's mom! She is so fun. The other day we were at the fabric store and than latter we went to the mall with Nic. At both places, Hannah was saying "hi" to everyone... yes, literally EVERYONE! Sometimes she would say, "Hi, hi, hi, hi..." until the person would turn and say hi back. We make friends and stop and talk to lots of people every where we go because of our friendly little girl.

We've been working on her name the last couple weeks. At first she would say "daddy" or "mommy" and laugh. Now she's got it down... well it's not exactly "Hannah" but she's made up a new nick name for herself: "Nannie!"

Hannah recently (and finally) moved out of her infant car seat. Yes, she's finally over 20 lbs! So I just turned her forward facing and she loves it! She's loved seeing Mommy, Daddy, and out the window. She's always been a little chatter-er, but especially now that she can see us, and especially when both Nic and I are in the car. We'll be carrying on a conversation and then Hannah will pipe in "ahyadeah--madoeahdya..." then she'll pause for 1/2 a second and giggle, like she's just told a great story!

Okay, this is silly because my video is sideways... but I've tried and tried and TRIED to change it and can't figure it out. But it's so cute. Hannah saying her name, doing some animal sounds, and showing us some body parts she knows:

Lesson

I taught Relief Society yesterday (that's my calling). [Relief Society is the women's organization in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.] The lesson was on revelation. It was a wonderful lesson to prepare and give and I felt like it went really well. There was great participation and the Spirit was strong! There were just two things that didn't go so well 1. I bawled and 2. I went way over.

1. So I asked how we could know when we were feeling prompted by the Spirit or when it was our own thoughts... some great stories and incites followed. I felt prompted to share a story about how a friend and neighbor called me. It was just what I needed at the time. This friend may not have known she was being prompted to call, but I know she was. As I started to tell the story... I cried and cried. A little crying is fine, but oh brother! I wish I wouldn't cry so much! (Point being, if the thought/feeling we have is good we should follow it. It probably is the Spirit prompting us.)

2. I was watching the clock on the back wall of the room. I thought I ended 8 minutes early. The RS president even thought I ended early and got up and said a few words... well the clock was wrong. We went 15 minutes over! (We already get out at 5:30 at night... this made it 15 min to 6!)

Ha, Ha! I had to put this on here because it was so funny. The other night after getting Hannah ready for bed and taking off her socks... she went to town on picking in between her toes! She couldn't concentrate while reading scriptures or saying prayers. Eventually I think she got it all!

Trick or Treat!

What a fun Halloween! We had a cute little chicken run'n around with us this year. Hannah loved her costume... and she'd even say "bock" (well, kind of).

Hannah and I went on a fun hayride with some friends. She's taking after her dad, I guess, because her favorite part was the tracker!

The zoo had a fun costume day. Although Hannah's mom forgot her costume there were some other cute kids (Todd[my brother] and his girls: Afton, Aidie, and Averie) all dressed up!

We had a ward trunk or treat party as well... Hannah's very first (and only) experience with Trick or Treating! Isn't she a cute little chicken?! You can see her already going for the candy!Lastly, here's Halloween night visiting family! What cute cousins!
