Valentine Crafting
I love seeing ideas that others share... so I hope you'll indulge me in sharing the crafts I've been working on. While some say I'm crafty... really I'm great at copying others' craftiness!
As seen on eighteen25 and The Idea Room. This one took some time... and cutting. I had my mom and sisters over for a girls night. We only got about 1/2 way done. It sat for about a week, untouched. And now that it is done, I love it. (And want to make more!)
I made these scrumptious cookies... in hopes of taking them to my VTs and a few others. (Recipe for cookies, glaze and technique on Our Best Bites.... yummo!) The cookies have to sit out a bit to let the glaze harden... well, Bry found this pan full and took one bite of every single one! That little pill!
Not a Valentine craft, but it's been on the list to do for a while. In case you can't tell it's a bow holder. I used a frame I already had, cut out cardboard to fit, covered it with fabric (hot glued the back), added ribbon (also glued to the back).
And TaDa!
These next two were super easy and fast!
Idea from eighteen25. (Can you tell I love that site?!) They change it out for different holidays (Boo, EEK, USA, Joy...) I bought letters already white, so after cutting scrapbook paper to 5x7, I just used glue dots to adhere the letters... easy peesy!
And probably my favorite:
I saw this on Brassy Apple. I already had the black and white paper left over from shower invites... so I just HAD to make it. I love the 3D look.
Happy Valentines! (Now I'd better get working on those skirts for Lisa's wedding!)
