A couple Sundays ago my Laurel adviser asked in her lesson for us to think of a time we felt pure happiness. Immediately I thought of two recent moments that I was truly happy.
One Sunday, probably about a month ago, I had just laid down on the couch next to Nic. It had been a busy and exhausting day, so I was in my pajamas at 6 pm. As I laid there with my head on my wonderful husband's lap, my two cute kids played around us. Bryson was playing with cars and trucks and making noises right and left. So cute. Hannah was writing notes, sounding words out, and making me a baggie full of special papers. Also so cute. I couldn't help but smile and think how lucky I was.
Another time was the 4th of July morning. Normally Nic is gone Monday through Saturday, up early and working. Then come Sundays, I'm usually up getting ready for a meeting. So it is rare that we get to sleep in or even just lounge around together. Gratefully, Nic didn't work on the 4th. We were awake by 7 or 7:30 am, but the kids slept in longer. We were able to lay there and chat for quite awhile, then Nic gave me a foot and back massage - heavenly. It was so nice and I definitely felt pure happiness.
I am so lucky to be loved and to love these wonderful people I get to call my family. They bring such joy to my life!

37 1/2
I'm just over 37 weeks... but whose keeping track?! I think I am - down to the hour! A couple weeks ago I had a night of 4-5 hours of straight contractions. They were about 5 minutes apart, but eventually went away. I finally fell asleep on the couch around 6:30 am. I was lucky enough to have my sister, Lisa, come over the next day and pamper me (pedicure) while I sat on the couch. I was tired and extremely sore, but even made it to a girls night with my fabulous sister in laws that night.
I have also had a sister-in-law, Ashley, help me clean bathrooms and another sister-in-law, Daishan, help me make freezer meals! I've got some great family!
This past week was girls camp. I took the girls up on Tuesday and went back up on Wednesday and Friday. It was a lot of walking! But I'm so glad I was able to go. Thursday night, I had a contraction every hour or so, which made for not much sleep. So for my doctor's appointment the next morning I was already tired, onry and very hopeful! I was hoping to be at least dialated to a 3, but was even more hopeful my doc would say I was a 5!
Well, I was at a 1 and 75% effaced. A one! A ONE! Really?! I mean you are practically at a one before you are even pregnant! What have all these contractions been for?! I don't mind them so much if they are helping get this baby here, but if they are all for naught, no thanks! I got in the car, called Nic and cried... and continued to cry the whole way home. How disappointing.
I'll go again on Friday. But I'm not getting my hopes up. Here's to a few more weeks!

Buzz
Whenever I ask Bryson what we should name our baby he says, "My want baby Buzz!" :) Sometimes he'll proceed to say, "My want baby Woody. My want baby Jesse." (Yes, he likes Toy Story!)

Contractions - a call to action
It's been a rough couple nights. On Thursday night, aside from the crazy movements and baby hiccups, it became apparent that my little guy had dropped giving me lower pain and pain down my legs. I had some contractions throughout the day yesterday, then last night I had quite a few hard contractions. At 10:00 pm for about 45 minutes, then I woke at about 12:45 until 2:00 am, and a few at 5:00 am. I have definitely experienced more intense contractions with my labor with the other 2 kiddos, but these weren't Braxton Hicks either... at least I didn't think so. The books would probably called it "false labor."
Although somewhat exciting (this means I'm getting closer and things are progressing), this is not good! For one, I'm only 34 weeks so the baby can't come yet. Second, I cannot do this for another 5-6 weeks! (That just makes me want to cry!) And third, I'm not ready! These contractions definitely were a call to action! I now have a 'to do' list a mile long, things such as:

- Find and put up a crib!
- Get down, wash, organize and find a place for baby's clothes
- Clean and organize my entire house... and life
- Clean out the fridge & make freezer meals
- Make sure YW stuff is organized and passed off
- Get my hair cut and colored and my toenails painted (always a must, right!?)
- Pack my hospital bag and bags for the kids
- Oh, and pick a name! Any suggestions?!

Boy Name Ideas
My favorite name right now for our new little guy is Easton. Easton Lewis. (Lewis, for my Grandpa Allen.) However, Nic isn't sold on it yet. What are your suggestions? Any ideas for us?

Brand new crib for sale!
Anyone know someone who wants a crib?!
Here's the description:
Brand new, in-the-box Jardine Convertible crib in warm walnut color. This is the replacement crib for the ones that had been recalled. (Yes, our crib was recalled.) I am selling because it is not the color I want. (Now that I know the nursery will be permanently in Hannah's room, I'd really like white.) The company says it is the highest safely rating.
Modern design with traditional styling for a timeless look. Features stationary sides to help keep baby safe and secure. Includes 4-positions to adjust mattress height. Easily converts from a crib to a daybed. Durable wood construction with a warm walnut finish.
Pictures are the company shots. It is new, in the box, and has not been assembled.
Anyone?! Anyone?! (I'm thinking $150... or best offer!)

You know what it feels like when...
you have been at camp...
or Lake Powell... or a reunion...
where you have spent the day at the lake
and hiking all day long,
and hiking all day long,
then you have to sleep on the ground or on a cot...
and you wake up in the morning
and your whole body feels achy...
your back and shoulders,
your legs and eyes
and all?!
That's what I feel like in the mornings when I wake up!
I was talking to my sister saying I had a month...
maybe a month and a half left.
maybe a month and a half left.
She said definitely a month and a half! A month is only the middle of July.
Oh, yeah... bummer.
We are getting closer, but not that close!
