I'm just over 37 weeks... but whose keeping track?! I think I am - down to the hour! A couple weeks ago I had a night of 4-5 hours of straight contractions. They were about 5 minutes apart, but eventually went away. I finally fell asleep on the couch around 6:30 am. I was lucky enough to have my sister, Lisa, come over the next day and pamper me (pedicure) while I sat on the couch. I was tired and extremely sore, but even made it to a girls night with my fabulous sister in laws that night.
I have also had a sister-in-law, Ashley, help me clean bathrooms and another sister-in-law, Daishan, help me make freezer meals! I've got some great family!
This past week was girls camp. I took the girls up on Tuesday and went back up on Wednesday and Friday. It was a lot of walking! But I'm so glad I was able to go. Thursday night, I had a contraction every hour or so, which made for not much sleep. So for my doctor's appointment the next morning I was already tired, onry and very hopeful! I was hoping to be at least dialated to a 3, but was even more hopeful my doc would say I was a 5!
Well, I was at a 1 and 75% effaced. A one! A ONE! Really?! I mean you are practically at a one before you are even pregnant! What have all these contractions been for?! I don't mind them so much if they are helping get this baby here, but if they are all for naught, no thanks! I got in the car, called Nic and cried... and continued to cry the whole way home. How disappointing.
I'll go again on Friday. But I'm not getting my hopes up. Here's to a few more weeks!

I am so sorry. That is so disappointing.
man, you've had it bad! I hope the baby comes fast when he does decide to show up! Dilating doesn't always mean much...I mean heck, you could go from 1 to 10 in a few hours. If that happens just think it was all the "practice" your body had to help it along ;)
Oh Natalie! So sorry. That has to be one of the top worst things about being pregnant. Hang in there!
Wish I could be a good sister too...sorry. Are you going to go with baby Buzz then? Glad there is some happiness along with the misery.
