Pure Happiness

A couple Sundays ago my Laurel adviser asked in her lesson for us to think of a time we felt pure happiness. Immediately I thought of two recent moments that I was truly happy.

One Sunday, probably about a month ago, I had just laid down on the couch next to Nic. It had been a busy and exhausting day, so I was in my pajamas at 6 pm. As I laid there with my head on my wonderful husband's lap, my two cute kids played around us. Bryson was playing with cars and trucks and making noises right and left. So cute. Hannah was writing notes, sounding words out, and making me a baggie full of special papers. Also so cute. I couldn't help but smile and think how lucky I was.

Another time was the 4th of July morning. Normally Nic is gone Monday through Saturday, up early and working. Then come Sundays, I'm usually up getting ready for a meeting. So it is rare that we get to sleep in or even just lounge around together. Gratefully, Nic didn't work on the 4th. We were awake by 7 or 7:30 am, but the kids slept in longer. We were able to lay there and chat for quite awhile, then Nic gave me a foot and back massage - heavenly. It was so nice and I definitely felt pure happiness.

I am so lucky to be loved and to love these wonderful people I get to call my family. They bring such joy to my life!

Love those moments that you can remember and just think "Ah, life is good". Love the food and back massage. I bet you wished it could happen daily, especially right now!

I think your 'love language' is physical touch. In both scenarios you are being touched ;) Just an observation

I've been gone for a week so when I saw you had posted I was sure it ment the baby had arrived. Sorry that's not the case. I hope you are feeling ok. Good luck with things.
