"If you are still in the process of raisingchildren, be aware that thetiny fingerprintsthat show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, thetoys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundryto be tackled will disappearall too soonand that you will - to your surprise -miss them profoundly." ~President Thomas S. Monson
Whew, its a lot of work! But you know what makes it worth it?... Hearing the popping sound of the jars being sealed!
Yesterday, I went up to my sister, Ashley's house and we canned like crazy! We did both pears and peaches. It is so nice to have someone to work along side. Thanks Ash! We did it! (And thanks for emailing me the pictures.)
Looks like fun. Yes, I live in Georgia, but we have decided they must ship all of the good peaches to other places. Every time I have bought some, they have been cakey and spongy - NASTY! So much for living in the Peach State. Plus they are SUPER expensive...I just don't get it.
I wish I lived close to my sister so we could can together! What fun memories! As long as you're going to do the work, there's nobody better to do it with than your sister! Fun memories - you guys were smart to take pictures.

Good way to describe the best part of canning. I couldn't agree more. Glad you got to do your peaches and pears. Cute pictures!
First off how are you almost due and you don't even look pregnant. Not fair! On a another note, the peaches look and pears look great. Way to go.
