Where do you like to go for dessert?!

Last night I really wanted some ice cream from Leatherbys. They have this awesome brownies, ice cream, delicious hot fudge, and pecans dessert that is one of my very favorites! So after dinner we drove all the way to Provo just to find out that this Leatherbys had gone out of business. (We even called the SLC location to see if they had moved... no luck.) Of course regular ice cream wouldn't cut it, not even Cold Stone, which I love. I had my mind set on this brownie/ice cream dessert. We ended up at TGI Fridays, where I got my dessert... but it just wasn't the same.

One of my other favorite places for dessert used to be Cinnabon in the University Mall. Its no longer there either. Although we don't go out for dessert a whole lot... it looks like I'm going to need a new favorite. So what's your favorite place to go out for dessert?!

oh Natalie- I would be SO frustrated! I HATE it when you are craving something and can't get it. I don't really have a favorite dessert place.. Oh wait, I LOVE the black tie mouse cake at Olive Garden... That's probably my favorite. It is expensive though. I am EXTREMELY picky about ice-cream, so I can understand your sadness ;)

Leatherby's is gone? They moved locations a while ago, but I thought they were still over there near BYU. No? How stinky. I loved their pralines caramel something or other, soooo good!!!

Nope, they aren't by BYU anymore, either! Boo Hoo!

OK - I always enjoyed the purple turtle in PG - just on state street. They have good shakes. Shawn loved Sub-Zero Ice cream - it was kind of a frozen custard, I guess. I wasn't a fan - too rich and creamy for me. The only other place that I would have like trying was Smart Cookie by BYU on the south east side. You could get a cookie sandwich with your choice of 2 delicious types of cookies and your choice of ice cream in the middle for $2- discovered it 2 weeks before I moved and it was delicious!! Good Luck!

I love going to Wingers for there Asphalt Pie. That is a great one. I used to love Leatherby's as well. I was sad to see it go. I loved getting a Peppermint Milkshake year round. I did just make some homemade chocolate chip cookies and put ice cream in the middle and they were tasty. Not necessarily what you want to do when you want it but hey it might work.

We tried Sub Zero. Not my favorite but neat to watch them make it.

I had to laugh at this post. Just tonight we went to dinner to Chili's. All I wanted was a side of mashed potatoes and gravy and Chocolate Molten Cake, my absolute favorite. My cravings are always stronger when I'm preggo.

I would have to say that the strawberry shortcake at cheesecake factory is soooooooooooo yummy. I also just found this Dryers ice-cream that is chocolate fudge brownie (the yogurt bled, way less calories, not that you need to worry about the calories) it is soooooooooo good. I really should by the real high calorie stuff, because if it's low cal I eat 20x more than I would if it was just the regular old ice-cream, but this stuff is really good! Good luck. My baby is hear and I still get those cravings!

We liked to go to Leatherbys too. I recently discovered that Mimi's Cafe has really yummy desserts. They aren't too expensive either. I had the chocolate chip pecan pie on my birthday and it was really good.
