Great Boss, Fun Date

On Saturday, Nic was at work and Clark, Nic's boss, calls me. "Do you guys have plans for tonight?" "I don't think so." I said. "Well, Nic is having a really bad day at work. And I'm sorry he even has to work today, on Saturday and a holiday weekend..." He said he wanted us to go out to a nice dinner (he suggested up at Sundance) and then to turn the receipt into him. He said, "I want you to get lots of appetizers. Now, Natalie, I know you two. Money isn't an issue here!" He also said he and his family could watch Hannah for us! Wow!

So... we took him up on it... all! They watched Hannah for us and we went up to Sundance's Foundry Grill. It was wonderful! We ordered drinks (not water!), an appetizer for two which consisted of pork dumplings, shrimp, and bruschetta topped with fancy guacamole and beans. We ordered a salad, "Iceberg Wedge," to share. Nic ordered Grilled Angus Rib-Eye Steak and I ordered Pan Seared Halibut. Quite delicious! (and I think it tastes even better when you don't have to pay!) And we were stuffed!

The settling was one of the funnest parts of dinner, surrounded by mountains, greenery and even rushing water. We took a small walk and then headed back. Hannah had a wonderful time. What a great boss to take care of us like that! We loved it!

Sounds like Nic has a great thing going for himself, what a nice boss! Being able to go out on a date is a great thing in itself, but then not having to pay for it on top that or find a babysitter, score!

That's so fun! Clark treats you guys so well--you're so lucky! Cute picture of the two of you.

I'm Jealous!! Sounds like fun - you could invite us next time and he'd never know - just say you were REALLY hungry! (j/k) Glad everything worked out - hopefully Nic has better days at work - or maybe he shouldn't :)
