Whimsical Easter Wreath

Welcome to our nest!

I just hung my Easter wreath. It's quite different from anything I've done before... whimsical, is how I described it to Nic.

I got my inspiration from this fun front door at Blue Sky Confections.
And used the moss covered letter idea from life.love.larson.
This is what it started as...
It was really a very inexpensive little project. I got the wreath for 40% off at JoAnns and the eggs there (which were already 50% off) and then also grabbed the moss. The letter I picked up at a garage sale last summer for .50 or $1. I already had this old frame and then just cut a branch off one of our bushes.

The "R" was covered with moss... so spring.
The little welcome sign, I made in Word using all different fonts and actually printed it on a brown grocery sack, then backed it with card stock and used my sewing machine to add more detail and color.
Nic helped me paint my frame then I distressed it with sandpaper and an ink pad.
The eggs add to the Easter and nest theme, but I think I need to get a little bird to sit on top of my frame.

Happy Whimsical Easter! Come visit our little nest any time.
