Bean's Birthday!

Although it was 2 weeks ago... I'm finally getting around to posting pictures of Hannah's birthday. We had a low key, but very fun day! Here's the run down:

The night before we went to my parents' and they gave her their gifts. (She got an adorable outfit and some magnet 'paper' dolls... Hannah has loved putting the different outfits on the dolls, especially the flowers in their hair, and making them dance.) In the morning we woke up and had pancakes. I made her a "2" and a Mickey Mouse pancake... she thought that was pretty cool. Then the two of us went on a walk and played at the park. Later, when Daddy got home she got her new bike! She was so excited! She loves riding it (at this point... it really is 'riding' because I just push her... no wonder its so fun. We'll work on the pedaling.) A couple weeks earlier we had also given her a big... yet little... pink chair (that she loves to bounce on). Then we went to Jump'n Jacks, in Springville, where there are lots of blow up slides, etc. Hannah was a little leary at first and I was thinking 'oh great.' But after a few times down the slides with Mom and Dad she was going down by herself and running around to find the next one! She loved it. It was a perfect night to go too; there were only two other kids there! After all our jump'n and slide'n, we headed to the next grandma and grandpa's to celebrate with them for a minute. (We love Mr. Potato Head! I'll have to post pictures of Hannah's creations!) By this time, it is way past Hannah's bed time and she still hasn't had her birthday cake, which she'd been talking about for a couple days! Nic had to go help the neighbors with some sprinkler stuff... which made the cake delay even longer... But Hannah finally got to blow out her candles and eat her cake! It was everywhere. From age one to two, there hasn't been much difference. She doesn't get cake very often and especially a whole piece to herself... and she just has at it! We sure love this little Birthday Bean. She's been saying she's "almost 2!" for along time... now we have to work on getting the "almost" out, because our little Bean IS two! Holy Cow!
