I Man!

The other day Bryson said, "I man!" pointing to himself.
I looked at him then at Nic, very surprised, "What?!"
"I man!" he repeated.
"You're a man?!" I asked.
"Yea. I man!" he said proudly.
I couldn't think of when he would have heard that but then Nic said, "Are you my little man?!"
"Yea. I man."

Lisa + Brent

It was a beautiful day in the Provo temple. Lisa and Brent got married. (I loved not having to travel very far.)I thought I'd take lots of photos but between being in them, not wanting to disrupt the photographer, visiting, chasing kids, helping, and just being exhausted I didn't get all the fabulous pictures I'd hoped for. I can't wait to see the ones from the photographer. Here's some from our fabulous day dedicated to the happy couple, Lisa and Brent.

Our family and sibs.
Lisa looking so very gorgeous in her miracle designer dress! Love it.At the luncheon. Don't they look happy?! Just a little.Reception pictures. Cute Ana. Bryson loved watching the wedding video... and playing under the table with one of the kiddo on Brent's side. Dancing away!
It was a fun, fabulous day! (Hopefully more stories soon.)

Nic Blow Dried My Hair

First, thanks for all your comments on our "announcement" post. It was great to feel loved from so many of you. I always say this blog is for me and my family... just a way to journal and archive some pictures and important events in our lives. But with that being said, I sure love receiving comments from you all. So thanks.

Thanks also for the concern and well wishes. I got a lot of questions about how I am feeling. If you ask me how it has been verses asking Nic, the answer would probably be very different.

I have felt very blessed with how well this pregnancy has gone. It has been better than the previous two. I can function, and function well, when I need to. I have been able to attend all my meetings and activities for YW, all the family gatherings, etc. When I received my calling as Young Women's president I thought there was no way I'd be able to be pregnant and have the calling. However, we felt like the time was right. There were many wonderful blessings when I got set apart and my counselor reminded me that one of those was a blessing of health. I have felt Heavenly Father's help to accomplish the things I need to.

But I also crash when I don't "need" to be "going"... and unfortunately for Nic, he gets me during those times. He has been wonderful. Another HUGE blessing through all of this is that Nic has been around during these winter months to help out a great deal. One day I was getting ready for a baby shower (2:00 on a Saturday), seeing that I was struggling, Nic asked what he could do for me. "You can blow dry my hair," I said, half kidding. But he did! Another time I was ready to hire someone to come clean my bathrooms (because when I did have energy and felt good that was the last thing I wanted to do... I took those moments to play with my kids or make a good meal!). Nic stepped right in and cleaned them. He has been a huge support and I feel his love everyday.

Once I passed the 1st trimester mark I have started feeling much better. I get feeling better and better by the day. Phew!

I am now just over 18 weeks along. My due date is August 5th... which means I am already aiming for the end of July! We have our ultrasound in a couple weeks and are very excited for that! So there you have it. The update. Thanks again for your love and support.

Valentine Crafting

I love seeing ideas that others share... so I hope you'll indulge me in sharing the crafts I've been working on. While some say I'm crafty... really I'm great at copying others' craftiness!
As seen on eighteen25 and The Idea Room. This one took some time... and cutting. I had my mom and sisters over for a girls night. We only got about 1/2 way done. It sat for about a week, untouched. And now that it is done, I love it. (And want to make more!)
I made these scrumptious cookies... in hopes of taking them to my VTs and a few others. (Recipe for cookies, glaze and technique on Our Best Bites.... yummo!) The cookies have to sit out a bit to let the glaze harden... well, Bry found this pan full and took one bite of every single one! That little pill! Not a Valentine craft, but it's been on the list to do for a while. In case you can't tell it's a bow holder. I used a frame I already had, cut out cardboard to fit, covered it with fabric (hot glued the back), added ribbon (also glued to the back). And TaDa!These next two were super easy and fast!Idea from eighteen25. (Can you tell I love that site?!) They change it out for different holidays (Boo, EEK, USA, Joy...) I bought letters already white, so after cutting scrapbook paper to 5x7, I just used glue dots to adhere the letters... easy peesy!

And probably my favorite:
I saw this on Brassy Apple. I already had the black and white paper left over from shower invites... so I just HAD to make it. I love the 3D look.

Happy Valentines! (Now I'd better get working on those skirts for Lisa's wedding!)
